Extreme is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) with a proven track record of success to join the team. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role will focus on bringing an exciting new solution to market.
ExtremeAnalytics is currently in use by
29 of the 30 NFL teams for business, security, and network insights. The new solution will offer richer data sets and insights based on application performance and usage, dwell time, and location. Operations teams can use this data for more efficient venue management such as identifying stadium bottlenecks, potential safety and security issues, and visibility into popular concessions and fan gathering areas. Executive and event management teams can use these insights into fan activity to better customize experiences and pinpoint sponsorship opportunities.
You will own the product marketing plan, and work in close partnership with product management, engineering, industry and corporate marketing, and sales to launch and support this segment of the business. Looked to as an expert for synthesizing customer care-abouts with technology, you will be responsible for developing compelling messaging and content to influence the adoption of Extreme business analytics solutions. Key deliverables include presentations for sales, partners, analysts; collateral including product sheets, solution briefs, and whitepapers; videos; blogs; and other marketing assets. You’re accustomed to operating with grit and possess a “get it done” attitude. You bring strong experience working with product management, adjacent marketing teams, sales, and other cross-functional teams; and you possess an ability to align diverse perspectives and drive consensus.
With experience from marketing business, consumer, or location analytics solutions, you possess strong knowledge of the business, operational, and to an extend technology pain points of line of business personas such as marketing, sales, operations. You should be well versed at translating the value of network and application insights into business actions. A general understanding of networking, security, and/or cloud computing would be a huge plus.
Key responsibilities for this role would be:
•Understanding the competitive landscape, our solution and portfolio, and determining how Extreme differentiates.
•Advocating the value of Extreme business analytics across a broad range of programs and initiatives ranging from product launches, virtual events, campaigns, content, training, and more.
•Developing or co-authoring various outbound content such as: solution briefs, data sheets, solution web pages, messaging documents, white papers, analyst write ups, eBooks, blogs, video scripts, and customer case studies to help capture market and buyer mindshare.
•Creating and delivering captivating presentations for sales, partners, and/or analysts.
Your background likely includes:
•7+ years of product marketing experience with an applications or equipment vendor, cloud or service provider, systems integrator, or reseller.
•Exceptional writing and communications aptitude.
•Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
•Strong collaboration skills in working with cross-functional teams and customers.
•Excellent project management aptitude.
•Ability to influence others and drive consensus.
•Ability to operate autonomously with limited supervision.
•Bachelors in business, marketing, engineering, computer science, or liberal arts.
