Requirements
  • Education Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • Experience Required: One year diagnostic technology
  • Other Skills/Knowledge Required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
  • ARRT registered in Radiology and CT
  • Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT
Responsibilities
  • How to perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
  • Completing CT examinations following established exam protocols-established by CT Radiologist.
  • Entering examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charges are entered.
  • How to electronically send and store images and data appropriately in PACS.
  • Departmental procedures for maintaining records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Equipment cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering our culture of safety.
  • Experience with supply and equipment issues to ensure optimum operations, equipment quality and long-term equipment maintenance and life.
  • Transporting and providing ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.
  • Education process and how to inform patients and family members throughout the patients' experience.
  • Communication effectively with the healthcare team utilizing established handoff procedures. Gives and accepts respectful feedback to enhance teamwork and the clinical training experience.
  • Minimizing preventable harm events and consistently executing the infection control protocols. Incorporates the Culture of Safety tools in daily practice, adhering to quality and safety guidelines and communicating near-miss or potential risks.

  • Education Preferred: Advance education in CAT scan technology
  • Experience Preferred: One year of CT
