That conversation introduced me to the field. Q: Why (or how) did you choose to get into this field? A: I've always loved the idea of working in healthcare but knew directly working with patients was not the right fit for me. Fixing things has always come naturally so when I discovered I could combine healthcare with technical problem solving, I knew it was a perfect fit. Q: What do you like most about your position? A: I love that every day is an opportunity to learn something new. Medical equipment is constantly evolving, so staying current with how devices are built and maintained requires ongoing learning and growth. Q: What interests you the most about HTM? A: Biomeds are often the hidden heroes of healthcare. Most people do not realize the work we do behind the scenes to keep critical equipment safe and reliable. When something goes wrong and we step in to solve the problem, it directly impacts patient care.
