Requirements
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role with a strong foundation in building scalable data pipelines and systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent/similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and a proven ability to partner with teams across an organization while maintaining a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience with data platform and ingestion products (Nice to have: Databricks & Fivetran).
Responsibilities
  • Craft and maintain data pipelines and systems to process and analyze vast amounts of healthcare data, ensuring they’re scalable and adaptable.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, as the only data engineer on the team! Having built from the ground up, you know how to ensure data quality and reliability from data ingestion to transformation and storage.
  • Lead the charge in optimizing data processing and storage solutions for both performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and shape our data infrastructure roadmap.
  • Enhancing dashboards and platforms to provide meaningful, actionable data visualization for stakeholders.
  • Drive the development of advanced analytics capabilities within Looker to enable deeper insights empower our teams to make informed decisions.
  • Encourage best practices in data engineering, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

It's fast, easy, and puts health information in the hands of its patients. While the basic plan is free, please note that PocketHealth charges a fee for some optional advanced features.
