Requirements
  • 4–8 years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally including time in product marketing
  • Vertical SaaS, EdTech, or higher-education-adjacent background is a strong plus
  • Leadership Experience not necessary - you can be a strong individual contributor looking to take the next step, or an experienced leader
  • Already operating AI-native in your personal craft (Claude, ChatGPT, Clay, Gong AI, content and image tooling, agent workflows)
  • Product marketing fluency (written positioning, led a launch, built a messaging framework, know the difference between a brief and a battlecard)
  • Writer-operator (able to draft a case study, a website headline, a launch email, and a Slack post to the AE team on the same day)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity (able to operate without a playbook and with a forcing-function launch)
  • Chicago-based and willing to be in the office 2–3 days a week
Responsibilities
  • Own our most important product and platform launches — positioning, messaging framework, launch campaign, webinar and press activation, sales enablement
  • Ongoing PMM across our growing product portfolio
  • Competitive intelligence across our category
  • Build a case study and reference engine from scratch at meaningful, sustained volume
  • Own and grow our Customer Advisory Board, now entering Year 2
  • Lifecycle communications: onboarding → release awareness → feature adoption → expansion → renewal
  • Stand up AwardSpring's point-of-view on higher ed, AI, and the fund lifecycle
  • Drive CEO thought leadership cadence (LinkedIn, podcast, speaking)
  • Shepherd the in-flight rebrand to completion
  • Direct the retained CPC agency and paid media budget
  • Partner with our RevOps analyst on source attribution, funnel metrics, and pipeline contribution reporting
  • Build an organic search and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) capability — show up on AI search surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini) as intentionally as we do on Google
  • Battlecards, demo scripts, discovery kits, ROI calculators, one-pagers
  • A collateral system the AE team actually uses
  • Direct a significant annual events budget with an ROI discipline — sponsor vs. attend vs. skip
  • Stand up a private-dinner program at priority events
Desired Qualifications
  • prior founding-marketer experience
  • higher ed or non-profit tech background
  • demonstrated results running paid media against measurable pipeline outcomes

AwardSpring provides software to manage scholarships, donor relations, and fund administration for colleges, universities, and foundations. Its Fund Platform unifies Scholarship Management, Donor Management, Donor Experience/Stewardship, and Fund Management to run the full scholarship lifecycle from applications to disbursements. SpringIQ adds AI that handles routine tasks, but all actions are opt-in and validated against real records, keeping humans in control. The goal is to move more scholarship money to students, reduce admin work, and improve donor engagement for hundreds of member institutions.

What believers are saying

  • Central Arizona College launched AwardSpring in 2026 after scholarship applications rose 42%.
  • USI, McMaster, and CAC use AwardSpring portals, proving active institutional adoption.
  • Summer 2026 donor stewardship and Fall 2026 fund management expand wallet share fast.

What critics are saying

  • AwardSpring raised only $1.2M seed capital by November 2021, limiting execution capacity.
  • Competitors can copy scholarship software quickly; AwardSpring lacks obvious network effects.
  • If 2026 launches slip, higher-ed buyers will default to incumbents like Blackbaud.

What makes AwardSpring unique

  • AwardSpring serves 600+ organizations with scholarship, donor, and fund workflows in one platform.
  • Its 2026 fund platform unifies donors, dollars, and students around actual awards.
  • It tracks underutilized funds and real-time matching better than siloed endowment tools.

Central Arizona College Launches New Scholarship Management System to Simplify Student Access to Financial Aid

Central Arizona College launches new scholarship management system to simplify student access to Financial Aid. Central Arizona College (CAC) has implemented a new scholarship management system in partnership with AwardSpring, designed to streamline the scholarship application process and make it easier for students to access available funding. With AwardSpring, CAC students can now apply for multiple scholarships through a single, user-friendly application that automatically matches them to scholarships for which they qualify. "The number of scholarship applications has increased more than 42% over the past two academic years," said Jose Dagnino, Director of Financial Aid. "As a financial aid team, it is our goal to help students access scholarship dollars to help them achieve their college education. We believe the AwardSpring program will do just this, providing them with additional funding opportunities." Through AwardSpring, students can apply for more than 50 scholarships, including institutional awards, CAC Foundation scholarships, and the Pinal Promise Tuition Program. "Students no longer need to spend hours sifting through scholarships they think they may be eligible for," said Celina Moses, Financial Aid Programs Coordinator. "AwardSpring automatically matches students to a wide range of scholarships by cross-referencing the student's profile against the eligibility criteria in the scholarship database." Central Arizona College offers a variety of scholarship programs recognizing academic excellence, athletic participation, and student involvement. Students can explore and apply for available scholarships at centralaz.awardspring.com. To qualify, students must be pursuing a degree or certificate, meet all eligibility requirements, and be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Both the AwardSpring application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed each year as applicable. The FAFSA for the 2026 - 27 school year is now open for students planning to attend in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027, and can be completed at studentaid.gov.
