Requirements
  • Be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date from December 2027 through May or June 2029.
  • Study Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences, or Quantitative Finance.
  • Demonstrate programming skills or aptitude, especially with R, MATLAB, Python, and object-oriented programming.
  • Have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment authorization.
Responsibilities
  • Support analytical and quantitative projects within Investment and Trading Solutions.
  • Use data to investigate and evaluate counterparties and algorithmic behavior across asset classes.

T. Rowe Price Q2 revenue rises 10.7% to $1.91B, EPS beats estimates at $2.57

T. Rowe Price reported second-quarter revenue of $1.91 billion, up 10.7% year-over-year, slightly missing the consensus estimate of $1.92 billion. Earnings per share reached $2.57, beating expectations of $2.52 and up from $2.24 in the prior-year quarter. Assets under management stood at $919.40 billion for equities, $690 billion for multi-asset, and $61.70 billion for alternatives, largely in line with analyst estimates. The firm experienced equity outflows of $13.50 billion, better than the estimated $16.02 billion. Investment advisory fees rose 11.3% to $1.74 billion, whilst multi-asset advisory fees climbed 16.1% to $529.5 million. Administrative and servicing fees declined 3.7% to $144.2 million.

Israeli chip company Xsight Labs raises $300M at $2.8B valuation

Israeli semiconductor company Xsight Labs has raised more than $300 million at a $2.8 billion valuation, over five times its 2021 valuation of $500 million. The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, with participation from Atreides Management, Artisan Partners, Battery Ventures, Intel Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Valor Equity Partners. Founded in 2017, Xsight Labs develops high-performance connectivity chips for AI and cloud computing infrastructure. Its E1 Data Processing Unit and X2 Ethernet switch have been selected by global network operators, including SpaceX's Starlink, and are being evaluated by Tier-1 hyperscalers. The company will use the funding to accelerate product development, expand teams across Israel, the US, Europe, and Asia, and scale manufacturing operations. Xsight has now raised over $450 million across four funding rounds.

T. Rowe Price names head of global marketing.

T. Rowe Price names head of global marketing. Baltimore-based T. Rowe Price announced that Mike Barry has been named head of Global Marketing, effective July 1. Barry will report to Dee Sawyer, head of Global Distribution. According to an announcement, Barry will lead marketing efforts to connect clients worldwide with the firm's insights, solutions and capabilities across retail, wealth, retirement, and institutional markets. Additionally, he will oversee brand strategy and development, public relations, global digital solutions, investment and retirement content, along with global product and segment marketing. Barry has more than 20 years of experience at T. Rowe Price. Most recently, he served as head of Global Product Marketing and Investment, Product, and Retirement Content, where he expanded the reach of the firm's market perspectives and investment insights. In 2024, he oversaw the launch of T. Rowe Price's marketing innovation lab, bringing together marketing associates from around the world to explore how digital and AI-enabled technologies could strengthen the firm's capabilities. That work led to new translation, design, and personalization capabilities now leveraged by the firm.
