Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, end-user services, or IT operations, including hands-on individual-contributor ownership rather than pure people management.
  • Demonstrated experience standardizing a fragmented, multi-site IT environment across locations or business units at different levels of maturity.
  • Deep hands-on command of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Intune; Active Directory; endpoint and device management; multifactor authentication and identity; and core networking.
  • Experience standardizing and governing a Microsoft 365 estate at the tenant level, including SharePoint and OneDrive architecture, Teams and site provisioning, external-sharing and data-loss policy, license optimization, and tenant-to-tenant migration or consolidation across acquisitions.
  • Proven ownership of a managed service provider relationship, ideally including a managed security service provider, with a track record of holding partners accountable to service-level agreements and outcomes.
  • Working security fluency covering access controls, endpoint security, email authentication including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, phishing and cyber hygiene, and incident escalation, without needing to be a dedicated security engineer.
  • Strong execution discipline and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without heavy structure or templates.
  • High integrity, ownership, and follow-through, with the credibility to earn trust from non-technical operators and field leaders.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Washington, DC, with in-office presence to support headquarters and vendors, plus travel to brand partners as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Own IT integration for every acquisition by building and running a repeatable Day 1 through Day 90 playbook spanning diligence, access and administration transition, onboarding, support routing, device standards, and escalation, while preserving business continuity and migrating each acquired brand onto Mosaic standards.
  • Set and enforce the Mosaic identity and endpoint baseline by defining standards for identity, multifactor authentication, device management, and endpoint protection, and migrating active users and company-managed devices across brand partners.
  • Standardize and govern the Microsoft 365 estate, including tenant strategy and consolidation, SharePoint and OneDrive architecture, Teams provisioning, external-sharing and data-loss policy, and licensing.
  • Assess and remediate inherited environments by separating immediate security and access risks from longer-term cleanup and driving fixes to completion, including transferring administration, decommissioning end-of-life servers, consolidating stray domains, and closing multifactor-authentication and email-authentication gaps.
  • Manage the managed service provider and security partners by holding them to clear standards, service-level agreements, and escalation paths; diagnosing vendor and internal ownership issues; and deciding when to improve, supplement, or replace partners.
  • Run onboarding, offboarding, and end-user support by owning accounts, access, permissions, and devices across brands, operating responsive support, and driving root-cause fixes over repeat tickets.
  • Govern the infrastructure estate by maintaining a reliable source of truth for users, devices, licenses, software as a service, domains, DNS, and cloud accounts; governing production cloud ownership, access, logging, monitoring, and cost; and setting guardrails for approved artificial intelligence and software-as-a-service tools.
  • Support headquarters and field locations directly, including office audiovisual and conference-room reliability, and travel to brand partners without local IT coverage to resolve issues and reinforce standards.
  • Hold managed service providers and security vendors accountable to standards and measurable outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting IT in multi-site, field-intensive businesses such as home services, healthcare services, or multi-site retail.
  • Exposure to private-equity-backed environments, post-merger integration, or high-growth operating models.
  • A track record running system migrations, tenant consolidations, carve-outs, office moves, or other major environment transitions.
  • Working knowledge of domain, DNS, and website administration.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Clarity Windows & Doors joined Mosaic on May 13, 2026, expanding Dallas-Fort Worth coverage.
  • Mosaic selected Zuper on April 13, 2026, signaling real tech investment and standardization.
  • The platform launched with Weather Tite, Windows on Washington, and The Window Experts.

What critics are saying

  • Mosaic still depends on acquiring small founders; stalled M&A starves growth by 2027.
  • One bad integration, like Zuper rollout failures, can damage service quality and reviews quickly.
  • If Alpine exits early, Mosaic becomes an undercapitalized roll-up competing against larger home-services buyers.

What makes Mosaic Service Partners unique

  • Alpine launched Mosaic on November 10, 2025, preserving local brands while centralizing scale.
  • Mosaic targets only residential window and door replacement, a narrow, defensible home-services niche.
  • CEO Josh Feinberg and Alpine's playbook combine operator discipline with acquisition capital.
