Requirements

Ability to work in a customer-facing consulting role
Ability to deploy AWS infrastructure using IAC tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Ability to build CI pipelines and automation (build, test, performance)
Ability to design and build containerization solutions (infrastructure, pipelines, automation) using tools such as Docker (Dockerfiles, ECS, ECS Fargate) or Kubernetes (manifests, Helm and deployment tooling, KOPS, EKS, or Fargate)
Expertise with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3 and RDS
Understanding of AWS security controls, network boundary controls and related toolsets
Ability to manage database engines
Knowledge of AWS's Well-Architected Framework
Ability to work with Configuration Management and Configuration Orchestration tools
Ability to work with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Ruby, or Python)
Ability to translate requirements into LOE estimates, design documents and project plans
Ability to build and administer web application environments
Occasional off-hours support, depending on client need
AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification (required within 90 days of employment)
Hashicorp Terraform Associate Certification (required within 90 days of employment)

Responsibilities

Consult with customers to understand business and technical needs
Develop strategic roadmaps and project plans based on customer goals
Document and present recommendations to customers
Work with Cloud Engineers to validate technical plans and time estimates

Work with Project Managers to set customer expectations, drive alignment, and coordinate timelines
Support pre-sales engineers in proposal design and positioning
Support Consulting Services process improvement initiatives
Support client discovery efforts and workshops

As a Cloud Consultant, you will report to the Consulting Manager, Professional Services and work with Mission Cloud’s customers to assess their needs, develop strategic roadmaps, and help deploy applications on highly available, complex AWS infrastructure. The Professional Services team builds AWS cloud solutions on behalf of our customers.

This position is 100% remote.
