Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant training program, or an accepted equivalent consisting of at least six months of experience in a Certified Medical Assistant role or proof of comparable on-the-job training and education.
  • Current certification from an approved agency, earning one of the following credentials: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant.
Responsibilities
  • Perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience.
  • Work in clinical and front-office functions, providing clerical support and assisting with health care and patient-care activities at the direction of the physician or provider.
  • Perform duties according to the specific needs of the practice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a medical office assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with electronic health records or phlebotomy.
  • For work in a Rural Health Clinic setting, Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

410 Medical raises $12M to scale emergency care device LifeFlow

410 Medical has secured $12 million in financing to expand its commercial operations and develop its next-generation LifeFlow infuser. Orlando Health Ventures led the oversubscribed round, with participation from Hatteras Venture Partners, Ballad Health, OSF Healthcare, Rex Health Ventures, and several other healthcare investors. The Durham, North Carolina-based medical device company's LifeFlow products are currently used by more than 500 hospitals and EMS agencies across the US to deliver fluids and blood quickly to patients experiencing sepsis, hemorrhagic shock, and other life-threatening conditions. Nearly 80,000 patients have been treated using LifeFlow technology. The funding will support commercial expansion and the launch of an enhanced LifeFlow infuser, planned for 2027. Founded in 2013, 410 Medical received FDA clearance for LifeFlow in 2016.
