We are seeking a Test Engineer with a strong background in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are crucial for quality assurance. You will participate in verification and validation for all software releases including new features, enhancements, and defect fixes using manual and automated testing. As a key part of the team, you will work with development teams to identify, track, and document quality assurance issues related to operation, performance, and integration. You will solve uniquely challenging problems for our Defense and Homeland Security customers. Help manage large volumes of critical, real-time information about issues from global to local. This position requires a current active US Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Support the development of system test solutions
- Prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans, procedures, and test events
- Participate in integrated testing activities and resolving conflicts for competing systems
- Document test requirements and methodologies
- Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and complete
- Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing
- Monitor system performance trends and identify potential issues
- Suggest opportunities for improvement
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, or related discipline
- 6+ years of experience
- Experience writing test plans and procedures
- Testing software in a distributed networking environment
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience working with Agile Development Practices
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Preferred experience utilizing automation test tools (Selenium Webdriver)
- Preferred experience with Department of Defense Command and Control Systems
