Requirements
  • A BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management.
  • Nine years of directly applicable experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate by email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe, as well as related tools and technology.
  • Highly experienced in quality assurance audits and startup and commissioning/operations for quality assurance program implementation.
  • Familiarity with or relevant experience in performing under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
  • Ability to identify conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with Hanford Site contractors.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID, have a granted exception, or be able to meet federal-building entry and testing requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Eligibility for Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as Employment Authorization, by the U.S. Government's designated Security Office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight support to external and internal auditing efforts by performing as a qualified auditor in Quality Assurance Division independent audits or surveillances.
  • Assist the Office of River Protection in managing and overseeing projects in accordance with Department of Energy Orders, Hanford procedures, and the Office of River Protection Quality Assurance Program Description.
  • Provide quality-related oversight functions as an oversight team member lead to Federal Project Directors addressing performance issues and verifying completion of facility milestones.
  • Conduct reviews of contractor actions addressing Department of Energy Inspector General recommendations.
  • Conduct effectiveness reviews of contractor actions and Inspector General recommendations.
  • Review and comment on new and revised Quality Assurance Division procedures and oversight reports to ensure high technical quality.
  • Review causal analyses and actions taken to prevent recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant Government, Public Sector, and Infrastructure sector experience, particularly Nuclear and Environmental sector experience.
  • Functional-area experience relevant to the engagement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
