An Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another related field.
Seven to ten years of shipboard Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures.
Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments.
Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Completed, or ability to complete, local Regional Maintenance Center Job Certification Requirements training within two years of hire.
Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements.
Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications.

Responsibilities
Receive Chief of Naval Operations Availability Work Packages from Type Commander and Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program.
Ensure assessment visibility for Maintenance Teams.
Coordinate resources between Maintenance Teams and Technical Codes.
Schedule Type Availability 3 Maintenance and Technical Representative assessments in accordance with Commander, Naval Regional Maintenance Center instructions.
Attend Integrated Product Team Development planning meetings.
Report assessment statuses to respective Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers.
Provide project management and reporting.
Support Chief of Naval Operations maintenance availability certification.
Perform Technical Subject Matter Expert Assessment Director functions.
Oversee the Technical Subject Matter Expert Assessment visit support team.
Manage training and qualifications.
SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant Assessment Director (AD) role. The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician V to provide critical technical assistance to Navy Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers to include:
Receiving CNO Availability Work Packages from TYCOM and SURFMEPP
Ensuring assessment visibility for MTs
Resource coordination between MTs and Tech. Codes
Scheduling T/A 3 MTRs IAW CNRMC Instructions
Attendance of IPTD planning meetings
Reporting assessment statuses to respective RMC PMs
