- End to End BI/DW Development and Operations Life Cycle understanding
Responsibilities
- Understand and contribute to the End to End BI/Data Warehouse Development and Operations Life Cycle
- Analyze requirements, write functional and technical specifications, development of reports
- Prepare and conduct unit testing
- Handle BI reporting for complex business requirements and create intuitive design solutions
- Work with MicroStrategy reporting tool and related components including Aggregate Layer, MSTR Desktop advanced reports, MSTR Narrowcast Services, MSTR Intelligence Cube reports, MSTR Web Professional, Advanced Metrics, Filters, Custom Group, Consolidation and other application objects
- MSTR performance tuning
- SQL scripting at database level and advanced SQL
- Troubleshoot MSTR reports
- Create and manage security roles, schedules, subscriptions, users and groups with privileges as required
- MSTR Desktop Architect components such as Attributes, Facts, Hierarchy, Transformation, Logical table partitions (Schema Objects)
- Create Custom Groups, Attributes, Consolidations, Facts, Filters, Attributes and Metrics, Prompts
- Create MicroStrategy Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and perform performance tuning for reports
- Create Transmitters, Devices and User accounts for Automated Distribution Services through Desktop and Web
- Load and unload MicroStrategy projects
- Write back to source data based on business user analysis
- Performance tuning and improvement
- Knowledge of the MicroStrategy product suite, architecture and component details
- Report development lifecycle
- Report testing concepts
