Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SEC reporting, financial reporting, or a related field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of United States generally accepted accounting principles, Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is required.
  • Experience with public disclosures and financial consolidations is required.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of all Securities and Exchange Commission filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other public disclosures for various clients.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, Management's Discussion and Analysis, and related supporting schedules.
  • Partner with external senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate disclosure input and accuracy.
  • Administer financial reporting controls and partner with process owners and internal stakeholders to support a strong Sarbanes-Oxley compliance framework.
  • Partner with external Big Four audit teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and answer open items.
  • Manage and oversee the client's consolidation process.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential or Master of Business Administration degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Big Four audit firms or DFIN ActiveDisclosure is a plus.
