Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent related combination of education and work experience
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or PMP certificate highly desirable
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with little or no direct supervision in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of project management principles, processes, and procedures
  • Proficient leadership skills, including effective conflict management and influencing
  • Thorough knowledge of medium to large scale construction projects, including feasibility, estimating, and scheduling
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead project management services associated with new construction and renovation projects including, but not limited to, project budgeting, procurement of professional and construction services and all construction activities
  • Assumes full accountability for the team's adherence to the procedures/protocol for administration of contract documentation, this includes certificate of insurance documentation, review of design and construction documents required for approval by the Board of Trustees, review of contracts for contractors and architects/engineers, etc. Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all contract documents associated with their projects and their teams' projects as well as training and coaching their staff to have similar oversight and attention to detail on the projects
  • Lead negotiations with construction vendors to ensure best value for the client
  • Provide Project/Construction Management oversight during all phases of the project
  • Prepare, maintain and control project schedules
  • Prepare, maintain and control project budgets
  • Provide Change Order Analysis and provide recommendation to Client
  • Manage sub-consultants and technical resources
  • Coordinate and interface with the Client and project team
  • Assist with construction manager procurement and GMP development
  • Review and approve contractor invoicing
  • Lead project progress meetings
  • Participate in Client presentations
  • Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards
  • Manage submittal and RFI process
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. Knowledge of and experience using various Contract Management Platforms and Primavera (P6) software is a plus
