Requirements
  • Recent graduate with 0–2 years of experience, including internships, in AI, natural language processing, computer science, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with pandas for document extraction, a PDF extraction library, and token estimation libraries is advantageous.
  • Experience working with large language model application programming interfaces and their payload outputs, such as OpenAI or Azure AI.
  • Experience with optical character recognition and document intelligence tools, such as Azure Document Intelligence or Google Document AI.
  • Interest in working with structured and unstructured data, especially financial or tax documents.
  • Exceptional communication skills for bridging technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong documentation habits and a team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing, building, and fine-tuning machine learning models for document classification, entity extraction, and outcome prediction.
  • Support internal departments by transforming legacy workflows through the integration of artificial intelligence-powered tools.
  • Help establish recall, precision, and accuracy metrics to assess model performance and optimize systems to reduce errors in tax form extraction and chatbot responses.
  • Support model deployment using MLflow, FastAPI, or Streamlit, including versioning, logging, and monitoring of live systems.
  • Contribute to real-world artificial intelligence applications in tax automation.
Desired Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of containerization and experience building custom Docker images.
  • Familiarity with security fundamentals such as role-based access control or JSON Web Token-based authentication.
  • Interest in regulatory or Internal Revenue Service compliance for artificial intelligence models.
  • Exposure to Azure Synapse, Power BI, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
