Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress towards CPA certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience working on public companies.
  • 3-5 years experience with SAAS Revenue accounting required.
  • Experience with consumption required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to interpret complex contracts and financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present information clearly and concisely.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the review of sales contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile revenue related accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, including review procedures and flux analysis for revenue.
  • Conduct regular reviews of revenue recognition processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing supporting documentation and explanation as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal and operations, to support the revenue process.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of revenue recognition software and systems.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
