Requirements
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- The candidate must hold a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- The candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in the discipline or specialty.
- A BLS certification obtained through approved American Heart Association is required.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct and manage resources for a Med/Surg Oncology unit.
- Budget responsibility.
- Efficient and effective resource utilization.
- Recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff.
- Achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement.
- Monitoring of quality and quantity of services.
- Maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Master Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field.
- 3-5 years progressively responsible management experience.
- Specialty or Administration certification desired.
