Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Ensure fiduciary and regulatory compliance in the administration of more than $300 million in financial aid disbursements, coordinate activities with auditors, and perform periodic internal audits.
  • Perform verification reviews of federal financial aid data and supporting documentation, review staff actions, research and troubleshoot student and staff inquiries, collaborate with international and external partners, and respond to United States Department of Education requests.
  • Interpret federal and state regulations and guidelines and assist with developing, disseminating, and communicating financial aid policies and procedures.
  • Review and update award notifications, coordinate special condition applications, resolve aid applicant problems, advise and counsel students, parents, agencies, and university staff on financial aid issues, process applications and documents for aid programs, and process emergency loans.
  • Review reports, monitor and verify data integrity and accuracy, identify risks, recommend solutions for processing and business-practice concerns, document processes, and provide staff training.
  • Coordinate fraud inquiries and responses related to financial aid with the United States Department of Education, outside lenders and servicers, and internal departments.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
