Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Audiology is required.
  • No professional experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification is required within 90 days of employment.
  • An applicable Audiologist license or permit is required for the state of work location, including Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
  • The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0-25 pounds; frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements; frequent near and far vision, depth perception, color discrimination, hearing, oral communication, and keyboard use/data entry; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and handling objects weighing 25-50 pounds; and rare climbing.
Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic testing to assess patients' hearing and vestibular status and determine appropriate treatment.
  • Develop, document, implement, and evaluate hearing correction plans of care.
  • Provide hearing device modifications.
  • Educate and counsel patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
