Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State Jessica Lunsford Act Badge.
  • At least five years of progressive estimating, engineering, or design experience within the commercial audio-visual or low-voltage integration industry.
  • Working knowledge of major audio-visual manufacturers and platforms, specifically Crestron, Extron, and Biamp.
  • Ability to interpret complex architectural blueprints, single-line diagrams, audio-visual signal flows, and wiring schematics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using industry-standard estimating tools such as D-Tools, Bluebeam, or similar software.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients, vendors, internal team members, government personnel, military personnel, and contractors.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications or licenses throughout the project or contract.
  • Ability to work required shifts or designated hours, including possible night and weekend work.
  • Ability to travel as required; a current passport is required for overseas travel.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely and comply with traffic laws, company policies, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
Responsibilities
  • Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and system schematics to evaluate project scope and create precise cost estimates.
  • Develop equipment lists and specify hardware including control processors, switchers, displays, microphones, and cabling.
  • Use Crestron and Extron control and switching architectures and Biamp digital signal processors to validate system functionality and cost feasibility.
  • Calculate labor hours for engineering, rack building, on-site installation, programming, testing, and project management.
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Project Operations to clarify project requirements, review design constraints, and finalize bid submissions.
  • Source third-party equipment, evaluate supplier pricing, and maintain current cost databases for hardware and subcontracted services.
Desired Qualifications
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist, Certified Technology Specialist—Design, or manufacturer-specific credentials such as Crestron Certified or Biamp Tesira certification.
