Requirements
- Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including frequent standing, sitting, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and crawling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work around extreme heat and cold, moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, toxic chemicals, infectious diseases, electric shock, and loud noise.
- Ability to use tools and controls and to meet the required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and focus-adjustment capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Distribute garbage carts and make repairs as needed.
- Perform custodial work as required.
- Assist with trash pickup and related services as needed.
- Respond to emergency and special-event cleanups.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings, follow safety protocols, and help maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
- Operate equipment as needed, including bobcats, tractors, asphalt rollers, street sweepers, rear-load trash trucks, and bucket trucks.
