Accenture Federal Services is seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused Cloud Database Administrator to oversee and enhance the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases within cloud-based environments. This role blends cloud and database administration and engineering expertise to ensure optimal performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with DoD and client standards.

Responsibilities include:

Maintain database security, performance and integrity
Optimize cloud system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning
Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and index management
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems and environments
Provide support for cloud systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices
Collaborate with support teams on workload management, patch management, active directory management, onboarding, and any other troubleshooting as required
Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets
Support the deployment of applications across multiple classification levels
Support requirements to capabilities analysis and implementation

Here’s what you need:

Relevant Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or, supporting certifications and relevant job or military experience of 4 years in lieu of degree
2+ years of experience working with databases, deploying and maintaining software/databases on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
2+ years of experience in cloud technologies and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers
1+ years of experience with PowerShell and/or Bash Scripting
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent

Bonus points if you have:

AWS associate level certifications
Knowledge of tools like Terraform, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation
Proficiency in schema design, advanced query optimization, and data warehousing
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools
Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies for performance and scalability in cloud and database environments
Able to engage with users in a professional manner and present technical concepts plainly to semi-technical customers
Ability to interface with seasoned Government personnel
Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and support multiple efforts, as needed
Desire to learn new technologies and tools and willingness to share your experience with the team

Security Clearance:

An active Secret Clearance required to start. TS/SCI preferred. Must be willing to submit to a polygraph examination

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$98,500—$184,900 USD
