Requirements
  • Must be fully bilingual - read and write in both official languages.
  • Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in network, satellite, or telecommunications operations.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role within a 24/7 NOC, Operations, or Technical Support environment.
  • Strong background in incident management, network troubleshooting, and service assurance.
  • Experience working with LEO/GEO satellite networks, IP networking, and SDN preferred.
  • Knowledge of satellite communication systems, network infrastructure, RF technologies, and service delivery platforms.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, monitoring tools, and automation solutions.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience in service management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the NOC’s daily operations, ensuring efficient monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of networks issues.
  • Ensure rapid identification, escalation, and resolution of service-impacting events, minimizing downtime and ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of NOC engineers, technologists and associated teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Implement best practices for incident, problem, and change management to drive operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Engineering, Customer Support, and Operations, to ensure seamless network operations and support.
  • Define and track KPIs for network performance, availability, and incident resolution. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure the NOC is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring, automation, and analytics tools to proactively detect and mitigate issues.
  • Act as the point of contact for major incidents, coordinating cross-functional response efforts and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in forecasting and managing the operational budget for the NOC, optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
