Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering immersive training solutions, including VR, AR, and simulations.
  • Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of immersive technologies and their application in training environments.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, tools and platforms for immersive content creation (e.g., C++, C#, Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.).
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer graphics, animations, modeling development and use in immersive learning.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exposure to and management of international teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
  • Problem solving mindset with the ability to quickly seek out solutions to complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple immersive training projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget to meet internal and client expectations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams; providing clear direction, set priorities, and ensure the team meets project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing team capacity with project demands.
  • Design and recommend strategies around development tools and processes; seek to find efficiencies in both internal and outsourced development.
  • Foster a strong technical, collaborative and innovative culture in a fast-paced commercially driven environment.
  • Establish engineering best practices and manage technical partnerships.
  • Act as primary technical support contact for internal and client users. Work proactively with internal and technical teams to provide timely and effective responses.
  • Ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and tailored to the needs of the target audience.
  • Collaborate with facilitators, trainers, and operational teams to integrate immersive training solutions into existing programs.
  • Ensure seamless deployment of immersive technologies, including hardware setup, software integration, and user onboarding. Monitor and address any technical or logistical challenges during implementation.
  • Develop metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and efficiencies of internal and external teams.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to continuously enhance the team’s capabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in industries such as maritime, energy, or other high-risk sectors where immersive training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance and safety training requirements.
