- Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design
- Demonstrated ability to creatively integrate and deliver in a resource-constrained environment.
- Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
- Knowledge of PLM, ERP, and other related manufacturing planning and management systems.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Under minimal supervision and in a highly ambiguous environment, you will own the development process for a product or set of products from the proposal stage into production.
- Research technology and develop proposals around novel solutions for manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures for the production of large metallic components.
- Look for opportunities to utilize digital tools to optimize and increase speed of production.
- Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, program office, and third-party corporate partners to own successful delivery of outcomes on multiple programs simultaneously.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new manufacturing projects.
- Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes.
- Integrate and immerse yourself in Anduril’s product development processes and build effective relationships with personnel across multiple business lines.
- Work cross-disciplinarily with a wide range of engineering, operational and programmatic disciplines.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in large scale metal fabrication and manufacturing.
- Partner deeply with engineering leaders to drive successful program execution across groups of engineering teams and more broadly across departments.
- Masters in technical field.
- Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Experience with manufacturing with metallics - friction stir welding, automation, material movement, castings, etc.
- Experience with manufacturing maritime products.
- Previous experience executing technical programs/products, from ideation and early-stage design to technology development, system integration, testing, and deployment.

Anduril, a defense contractor specializing in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, partnered with Meta in May to develop AI-powered augmented reality headsets for the United States military.
German defense giant Rheinmetall and U.S.-based Anduril Industries have announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop autonomous air systems and propulsion technologies tailored for European defense needs.
Just a few weeks later on Jan. 16, Anduril announced it would invest $900 million to build a manufacturing campus near Rickenbacker International Airport and would hire 4,000 people over the next decade.
