Requirements
  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively integrate and deliver in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
  • Knowledge of PLM, ERP, and other related manufacturing planning and management systems.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Under minimal supervision and in a highly ambiguous environment, you will own the development process for a product or set of products from the proposal stage into production.
  • Research technology and develop proposals around novel solutions for manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures for the production of large metallic components.
  • Look for opportunities to utilize digital tools to optimize and increase speed of production.
  • Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, program office, and third-party corporate partners to own successful delivery of outcomes on multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new manufacturing projects.
  • Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes.
  • Integrate and immerse yourself in Anduril’s product development processes and build effective relationships with personnel across multiple business lines.
  • Work cross-disciplinarily with a wide range of engineering, operational and programmatic disciplines.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in large scale metal fabrication and manufacturing.
  • Partner deeply with engineering leaders to drive successful program execution across groups of engineering teams and more broadly across departments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Masters in technical field.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Experience with manufacturing with metallics - friction stir welding, automation, material movement, castings, etc.
  • Experience with manufacturing maritime products.
  • Previous experience executing technical programs/products, from ideation and early-stage design to technology development, system integration, testing, and deployment.
