Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in AV field service, system integration, or commissioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with AV components such as displays, projectors, DSPs, switchers, control systems, microphones, cameras, and networked AV solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning AV systems, including calibration and system testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret AV system drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • CTS certification is not required, though AVIXA training or other vendor certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and conferencing systems.
  • Commission AV systems, ensuring functionality, calibration, and proper integration with client environments.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide system testing, verification, and client handoff documentation.
  • Support clients with training, guidance, and technical assistance on AV system operation.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and documentation of work performed.
  • Stay current with AV technology trends, equipment, and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AV control platforms (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron).
  • Experience with video conferencing systems (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco, Poly).
  • Networking knowledge related to AV over IP systems.
