Job Description

The Principal Cloud Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing, and implementing highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure and GCP. Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud-based applications and services. Build and create updated Linux and FreeBSD tools packages and qualify this for field deployment.

• Create, configure, and manage AWS resources such as EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 buckets, DynamoDB, VPCs, and more.
• Automate routine tasks and processes to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency using tools like AWS Lambda, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and ensure that SLAs are met.
• Perform regular security assessments and implement best practices for cloud security.
• Optimize cloud costs by identifying and addressing resource inefficiencies and recommending cost-saving strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• You will develop tools and test suites that will be integrated to engineering CI-CD pipeline running on
• You will automate Infrastructure deployment and updates in OpenStack, AWS, Azure and ESXI environments.
• You will analyze Linux and FreeBSD tools and packages and compile/build new packages for production deployment.
• You will configure and monitor engineering cloud infrastructure events and alerts. Take necessary actions to address the Alerts.
• Preview cloud and coordinate with the development team to resolve the bugs.
• You will Administer Public Cloud (AWS, Azure and GCP) account management and monitor infrastructure resource utilization.
• You will manage and resolve tickets to provide Developers requested Infrastructure in OpenStack and VMWARE ESXI.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and Public Cloud best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in designing, building, and managing Public Cloud infrastructure.
• Programming skills in Python and Shell script and understanding of C, C++ code.
• Background in Linux/FreeBSD systems
• Experience with cloud technologies such as OpenStack, VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Work with technologies like Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms. 
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance for all our deployments and environments, both internally and externally.
• Automate and create workloads in Bamboo and Jenkins that enable all engineers to develop high-quality, production code quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
