The Post
We are looking for a proactive and confident Enforcement Officer to join our frontline team tackling waste-related and highway offences. From fly-tipping and littering to illegal signage and obstructions, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining public spaces and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate reports of environmental and highway offences including fly-tipping, littering, abandoned vehicles, and illegal advertising
- identify and respond to breaches of legislation
- Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and prepare case files for prosecution where necessary
- Engage with residents, businesses, and contractors to promote awareness and compliance
- Maintain accurate records and provide evidence for legal proceedings
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to support enforcement activities
