- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Three years of experience is required.
- Experience with strategic communications planning, writing, content development, social media management, media relations, visual communications, communications outcomes reporting, presentation skills, workflow management, and event communications planning is required.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe tools, and Microsoft Suite for visual communications is required.
- Understanding of key performance indicators and reporting communications outcomes is required.
- The ability to build relationships, listen and ask appropriate questions, adapt, remain calm under pressure, collaborate tactfully, communicate clearly and confidently verbally, and solve problems creatively is required.
- The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0-25 pounds; occasional handling of objects weighing 25-50 pounds; and rare climbing.
- The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, repetitive foot and leg movements, repetitive hand and arm movements, keyboard use, and data entry, as well as occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
- The role requires frequent vision and depth perception at near and far distances, color identification, and hearing and speech for oral communication and alarms.
- Develop and author communication materials for internal and external distribution.
- Interview internal resources, collect relevant information, and develop materials for media releases and communication sessions.
- Schedule and follow up on the timely release of communications and media information.
- Track results of media-related activity and report success.
- Assist in developing strategic communication messaging by working with the communications team to support communications needs across the ministries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
