Position Summary:
Provide Engineering support and project management skills toward the design, development, installation, startup, validation, and maintenance of products, processes, and equipment. Provide technical expertise within a specialty field(s).
- Strong background in Automation and Control systems including Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, Siemens or GE PLCs, Wonderware In-Touch , HMIs; Vision Systems, Robotics, Ethernet IP and DeviceNet communication protocols; VFDs, and Motion Controls Systems (robot and servo motors) are required.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and a working knowledge of software such as MS Excel and Word.
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze, investigate and help solve technical issues involving the equipment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Be a team player.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Be a self-starter and proactive.
- Strong Knowledge of equipment safety and machine guarding procedures.
- Ability to provide technical support and assists troubleshooting equipment when unscheduled downtime occurs.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties:
- Develops, evaluates and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules or other information to facilitate production processes.
- Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase and parts.
- Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.

- Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.
