Requirements
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows operating systems, including file management, scripting, editing, and security.
  • Experience using programming languages, software, or tools to develop regular or ad-hoc queries from large datasets.
  • Familiarity with network communication protocols and related protocols.
  • Ability to implement solutions integrating REST application programming interface (API)-based web services.
  • A Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience, or at least seven years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • An active Department of Energy Q-level security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Residence in Albuquerque because some on-site work is required.
  • Server administration and infrastructure management experience.
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to consistently follow standard change-management and release processes.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and transparency.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer server infrastructure supporting development and production environments.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to build robust APIs and user interfaces.
  • Design and optimize databases to support application needs.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Drive DevOps best practices to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
