Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of consulting geotechnical engineering experience is required.
  • Professional Engineering License registration with applicable experience is required.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform geotechnical subsurface investigations and geotechnical design and construction-related problem solving for real estate, oil and gas, and landfill site design, including building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslides, and pavements.
  • Manage construction materials testing services for commercial, oil and gas, and landfill projects.
  • Coordinate or monitor subsurface drilling, obtain soil and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses and design, and prepare reports.
  • Manage, coordinate, supervise, review, and direct technician staff for earthwork, concrete, foundation, masonry, and pavement construction testing.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
