- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant bridge inspection experience is required.
- Meet FHWA Bridge Inspection Team Leader qualification requirements, including successful completion of an FHWA-approved comprehensive bridge inspection training course, through one of the following pathways: be a registered Professional Engineer; have five years of bridge inspection experience; hold a NICET Level III or IV Bridge Safety Inspector certification; hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, have passed the FE/EIT exam, and have two years of bridge inspection experience; or hold an associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and have four years of bridge inspection experience.
- Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills.
- Effectively interact with and build relationships with team members and clients.
- Have a valid driver's license, be insurable, and be able to safely operate a vehicle on highways and at job sites.
- Be familiar with AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
- Plan and complete bridge, culvert, and ancillary structure inspections in accordance with established work plans and schedules, including leading and guiding the work of others.
- Perform complex field inspections to identify existing structural conditions, deterioration, and deficiencies.
- Guide and support team members in documenting field conditions through detailed notes, measurements, and photographs.
- Lead the timely and accurate completion of inspection deliverables, including bridge inspection reports and bridge scoping reports, in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate traffic control, access methods, and equipment rentals necessary to safely perform inspections.
- Ensure all inspection activities are conducted safely and in compliance with safety standards.
- Remain current on federal and state requirements to maintain qualification as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, including refresher training and field proficiency requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior inspection staff.
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

'Topping out' marks major construction milestone for Redmond airport terminal expansion. By Hennebery Eddy The terminal expansion at Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) reached a major construction milestone on July 7 as project partners gathered to celebrate the signing and placement of the final structural beam. The glue-laminated (glulam) beam was provided by TimberLab and manufactured in Portland, Oregon - and its placement marks a significant step forward for the $180M mass timber project. Before the beam was lifted into place, project team members signed it and attached a ceremonial tree, honoring the collective effort and dedication of everyone who contributed to reaching this milestone. Hennebery Eddy team members at the topping out ceremony To meet growing demand, a major expansion is underway at Central Oregon's primary airport - its first expansion since 2008. Hennebery Eddy, in partnership with RS&H and Morrison-Maierle, designed the expansion of RDM to increase holdroom capacity, streamline operations, and improve amenities and accessibility for passengers. The design respects the existing airside building and expands the terminal to encompass the richness of the region's landscape. The new concourse creates a clearer, more efficient, and welcoming experience and strengthens its role as a regional connector. Under construction by Skanska as the CM/GC, the new terminal is expected to open in November 2027. Thanks to the Skanska team for hosting this milestone topping-out event, as well as to all its project partners, RDM airport staff, and stakeholders.
RS&H named ENR Mountain States Design Firm of the Year. April 30, 2026 ENR Mountain States & Southwest has selected RS&H as the 2026 Mountain States Design Firm of the Year. Firms of the Year are chosen by ENR editors based on factors that include regional revenues, new initiatives, current projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations. RS&H recently provided construction management and design review services for the Colorado Department of Transportation's Region 2 Bridge Bundle project, which leveraged design-build delivery to replace 17 deficient structures across key rural highway corridors in southeastern and central Colorado. In Utah, through a partnership with the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, the design firm has developed a comprehensive Advanced Air Mobility Integration Plan that positions the region as a national model for urban air mobility and vertical takeoff and landing aircraft operations. And in Montana, RS&H is partnering with the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport on the East Terminal Expansion project. The multi-phase development involves a comprehensive transformation with new gates, an expanded baggage handling system, a new security checkpoint and other elements designed to meet the region's growing demands.
