About The Role: 

A transformative leadership position that elevates fundraising success through strategic guidance and enablement. As the principal fundraising strategist, you will empower Customer Success and Solution Engineering teams while delivering consultative services to maximize donor development and fundraising outcomes.

We seek a seasoned leader with expertise in multi-channel fundraising strategies, strong presentation and facilitation skills, and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives within or for large nonprofits. You’ll have a deep understanding of donor development, marketing, finance, and technology.

The ideal candidate excels in both strategic and tactical roles, can analyze complex data to deliver actionable insights, and is adept at creating scalable processes while driving hands-on impact.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive fundraising assessments and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop comprehensive assessment reports that balance strategic vision with tactical implementation steps.
• Guide cross-channel fundraising strategies and best practices.
• Partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to deliver impactful account reviews.
• Analyze donor behavior, complex fundraising data, and platform usage to identify opportunities.
• Deliver compelling, actionable insights through data-driven presentations and reports for both C-Suite and Operations.
• Build a repository of case studies and best practices.
• Execute high-impact projects while creating scalable frameworks for team growth.
• Design fundraising education programs and playbooks for the Customer Success team.
• Mentor CSMs on relationship building and organizational dynamics.
• Partner with Sales to support complex sales cycles and strategic opportunities.
• Develop solutions for common fundraising challenges and identify growth opportunities.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with customer leadership.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years in fundraising, including 5+ years in a senior strategic role.
• Experience working in or with large national/global organisations.
• Expertise in multi-channel fundraising strategies and nonprofit operations.
• Strong analytical, consultative, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with web analytics tools such as GA4.
• Proven ability to execute hands-on work and build scalable processes.
• Exceptional presentation and data visualization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS customer success or consulting.
• CFRE certification, MBA, or relevant advanced degree.
• Background in fundraising technology or nonprofit agency.
• Change management experience or certification.
