Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an engineer or project leader in a technical position
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in project leadership within a product development team preferably a healthcare software product
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project design plans to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, including strong influential, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated understanding/experience with the full product life cycle which includes: productivity projects, New Product Introduction programs, and/or Installed Base activities
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a regulated business (such as: FDA, ISO, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for program plan including execution of all key component deliverables.
  • Own product Device Master Record(s) and creation of necessary product artifacts in IT systems.
  • Lead design and creation / change of product structures, commercial items, offering structures, and/or offering rules, including technical and functional assessments.
  • Leads and executes process necessary to capture applicable environmental product data from suppliers and respective internal teams for each applicable commercial item and archive within applicable retention systems.
  • Facilitate and orchestrate item changes and their impact and ensure synchronized change control within IT ecosystem.
  • Review and approve product and offering item creation and change requests in accordance with product controllership and applicable process requirements.
  • Setup/load/maintain all technical, regulatory, attribution, utilizing applicable Regulatory guidance for item setup and maintenance.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting related to product environmental regulations to satisfy requirements in various countries and states across the world.
  • Validate and deploy the offering structure in electronic distribution systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and control mechanisms are in place prior to release in requested target market(s).
  • Partner with applicable cross functional team members to ensure item accuracy and execution.
  • Liaison between Program and Configuration Management Leadership teams to provide productive design solutions, offering content feedback.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Software Engineering (Computer Science, or related degree)
  • Attention to detail and ability work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive daily execution and burn down of critical tasks needed to meet the program timelines
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated experience with global product lifecycle management
  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and operationalize new processes, as well as navigate unfamiliar situations
  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively with global and cross-functional teams and members
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, networking, and teamwork skills with internal (cross-functional) and external (supplier) customers
  • Previous experience working with one or more of the following GE Healthcare tools and processes (engineering, sourcing, supply chain, such as: MyWorkshop, PeopleSoft, Oracle - GLPROD, GPM, SQCS, Support Central, Salesforce, Apttus, Seibel, Flexera, etc.)
  • Diverse experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service or other related functions. Previous experience working with regulated medical products.

GE HealthCare integrates bkActiv ultrasound with Medtronic Stealth AXiS for real-time cranial surgery navigation

GE HealthCare has announced a digital integration between its bkActiv intraoperative ultrasound system and Medtronic's Stealth AXiS surgical navigation system, now commercially available for cranial procedures. The integration allows neurosurgeons to use bkActiv as a plug-and-play real-time visualisation solution during procedures. The system addresses "brain shift", a natural movement of the brain during surgery that reduces pre-surgical image accuracy. bkActiv provides live ultrasound images alongside pre-operative MRI or CT scans on the Stealth AXiS system, recently cleared by the FDA for cranial procedures in the United States. Features include sterilisable transducers, sensitive colour Doppler for blood flow visualisation, and remote control capability from the sterile field. The companies will showcase the integration at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting in May 2026.

GE HealthCare's photon-counting CT Photonova Spectra receives FDA clearance

GE HealthCare has received FDA 510(k) clearance for Photonova Spectra, a photon-counting computed tomography system powered by its Deep Silicon detector technology. The system directly counts individual photons and measures their energy, enabling higher spectral and spatial resolution compared to conventional CT systems that first convert X-rays into visible light. Photonova Spectra features 8-bin energy resolution, wide detector coverage and rapid 0.23-second rotation speed, supporting fast acquisition and detailed visualisation across multiple clinical specialties. The system automatically captures spectral and ultra-high definition spatial data simultaneously without requiring special protocols. The technology incorporates NVIDIA accelerated computing to process up to 50 times more data than conventional CT systems. GE HealthCare appoints Stryker CEO Kevin Lobo to board of directors

GE HealthCare has appointed Kevin Lobo, chair and CEO of Stryker Corporation, to its board of directors effective 13 March.
