  • Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) program
  • 10+ years of experience with a consultant engineering firm, contractor or a manufacturer of building engineered systems
  • Professional Engineer or the ability to become registered within the next 12 months
  • Proficient in the electrical designs that include Electrical Distribution, Generators and Electrical Systems
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of commercial building engineered systems
  • Possess well-developed knowledge of commercial building design and construction processes
  • Ability to use CAD software in the development of models and construction documents
  • Ability to effectively work with discipline-specific engineering software programs and project management applications
  • Practical knowledge of the design and application of discipline-specific products
  • Ability to negotiate effectively to achieve agreements that all parties can support
  • Ability to synthesize complex information from a variety of sources and use that information to make informed decisions
  • Ability and desire to seek out technical training opportunities to increase skills
  • Ability to champion ideas with confidence and ensure that difficult problems are addressed
  • Ability to lead multi-discipline teams to accomplish goals and to ensure that all viewpoints are considered by the team
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical expert responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems across Target’s Retail Stores and Global Supply Chain & Logistics Facilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring that electrical designs meet performance, safety, and efficiency standards while aligning with the strategic goals of the business
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Store Design, Construction, Property Management, Finance, and Global Supply Chain & Logistic teams to align technical requirements with operational objectives
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and evolving industry standards, proactively integrating innovative solutions into Target’s engineering practices
  • Play a vital role in advancing energy-efficient and scalable infrastructure that supports long-term business growth and enhances the guest and team member experience
