Requirements
  • Graduate students enrolled in a degree program by the application deadline – October 31, 2025 – who are returning to school in the fall are also eligible to apply.
  • Completed at least one prior reporting internship with another professional media organization or published exceptional work with a campus news outlet or as a freelancer.
  • Dedication to high journalism standards.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, HTML and CSS is required.
  • Internship timing: 10 weeks between June and August.
  • The deadline to apply is Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 at midnight Eastern time.
Responsibilities
  • Produce compelling, and editorially strong, visual journalism, both alone and across teams, that take advantage of your strengths. This may include data-driven interactives, maps, charts, social media promos or other explanatory work.
  • Learn WSJ systems and best practices for the creation of information graphics.
Desired Qualifications
  • A demonstrated interest in business reporting is a plus, though prior business or economics reporting experience isn’t required.
  • Experience with and interest in responsible AI experimentation, data analysis, data-driven projects is encouraged.
  • Experience with JavaScript and D3.js is a significant bonus.
