Requirements
  • Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program
  • Registered ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or Ultrasound with the ARRT(US) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
  • Vascular experience required, registry RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), or ARRT-Vascular US) required
  • American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
  • Manages and performs all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations
  • Demonstrates excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease and can communicate this to the Radiologist
  • Trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques
  • Capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis
  • Accepts secondary responsibilities within the department to support teamwork
  • Performs other duties as assigned
