Requirements
  • A deep understanding of modern web technologies - React.Js, Next.Js, Node.Js, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (ES6+), Typescript, etc
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques and tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest)
  • A strong technical foundation and experience building user interfaces and single page applications.
  • Experience writing internal documentation and system flow charts to keep the team informed.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a production environment; shipping code with regularity
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate cross functionally with designers, product managers, engineers, QA and operations.
Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, test, and deploy web applications for Dow Jones publications (WSJ, Barron's, MarketWatch, etc).
  • Contribute to the technical aspects of SEO, including website architecture, URL structures, meta tags, schema markup, and site speed optimization
  • Develop and enforce SEO best practices and guidelines for the team, ensuring consistency and quality across all SEO efforts.
