The Employer Engagement Program (EEP) is a new program of World Relief Memphis (WRM) with the goal to develop and strengthen partnerships with employers to further skills development and career advancement opportunities for refugees and other immigrants through the creation of custom onsite training programs. The external program title is currently called Level UP. This program will benefit from workplace ESL training programs that have been previously piloted by WRM at partner companies in Memphis. The EEP Specialist will be responsible for maintaining positive, ongoing relationships with program participants through enrollment and assessment meetings, goal setting, and career coaching to support clients in their short- and long-term career goals supported by the program. This role includes grant management, direct service oversight, interdepartmental collaboration, and developing and maintaining external partnerships. This position will ensure compliance with programs funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement and its program intermediaries.
Role & Responsibilities

- Case Management Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential program participants to assess program eligibility and enroll them into programming based on funder guidelines
- Conduct intake meetings to determine short- and long-term career goals of program participants in order to set achievable goals during their enrollment period
- Meet with program participants on a recurring basis to discuss progress toward established goals, ensuring barriers to participation and success are addressed
- Maintain open communication with the program manager and workshop instructors to ensure client needs and opportunities are addressed
- In collaboration with other program staff and instructors, maintain positive relationships with partner companies to ensure a positive customer experience that results in company and client success
- Conduct evaluations to identify and address barriers to successful program outcomes during the funding period
- When appropriate, refer clients to other relevant WRM programs and community agencies/resources as specific needs of clients arise during the service period
- Maintain at least monthly communication with clients through phone calls, emails and in-person visits.
- Maintain and complete detailed and accurate records of client files, case notes, and reporting records
- Ensure services are provided in a planned, effective and timely manner to eligible clients, according to program goals and in collaboration with other WRM programs and service lines.
- Programmatic Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain systems, policies, and procedures for the Economic Empowerment Services team that comply with the systems and policies of WRM and grantors.
- Participate in the design and execution of programs or courses geared towards client development for increased employability and skills.
- When appropriate, engage with volunteers, church groups, and service providers as it pertains the program scope
- Complete reports, service plans, monthly reports, network calls and other tasks related to program and organizational initiatives
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and other staff events and development opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of case management processes is preferred
- Experience in English language training, adult education, and/or workforce development programming is preferred •
- Proficiency in Spanish or Kinyarwanda is preferred Extremely detail-orientated
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous database experience preferred (i.e. Dynamics)
- Skill and sensitivity working with people from various backgrounds and beliefs
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and resolve problems/issues promptly and effectively
- Ability to work well on a team in a synergistic work environment, a flexible and motivated team player
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize in a fast paced and fluid environment
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
