Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Events Manager, Operational Events Manager, or similar role in event planning and coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with event management software, booking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and profit-and-loss management.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members in a supportive and collaborative manner.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.
  • Problem-solving and crisis-management capabilities, including the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations relevant to event management.
  • Sales acumen and ability to identify revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • Innovative thinking and willingness to experiment with new ideas and approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute events across all venues while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to quality standards.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, timeline development, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain event budgets, conduct profit-and-loss analysis, and track expenses to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate event details, timelines, and expectations.
  • Lead and mentor event staff by providing training, guidance, and support.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards, throughout event operations.
  • Manage customer relationships by identifying client needs, providing recommendations, and addressing concerns.
  • Identify and implement upselling opportunities to drive revenue growth and maximize event profitability.
  • Maintain records of event planning, vendor contracts, invoicing, and post-event evaluations.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs to align team members and capture lessons learned.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for event management.
  • Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and coordinate procurement for event requirements.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple events simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel management, or luxury event environments.
  • Certification in event management or a related field.
