What believers are saying

  • Beacon Children's Hospital broadened Alabama access and added pediatric capacity in June 2025.
  • Perimeter still operates a diversified census mix: acute, residential, child, adult, and geriatric care.
  • The private-investor sale in 2025 likely enables faster add-on acquisitions and operational upgrades.

What critics are saying

  • Edgemont said Perimeter was sold to a private investor in April 2025; leverage risk rises.
  • Residential and inpatient psychiatry face Medicaid rate pressure and state licensing scrutiny across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Integration of Beacon and older facilities can fail before 2027, disrupting occupancy and referrals.

What makes Perimeter Healthcare unique

  • Multi-state behavioral health platform serving children, adults, seniors across inpatient and PRTF care.
  • Beacon acquisition expanded Perimeter into Alabama with 32 licensed pediatric psychiatric beds in 2025.
  • Licensed facilities in Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama widen referral capture.
