Who we are looking for
The CMM Programmer has primary responsibility in the area of programming, troubleshooting and daily maintenance of the Coordinate Measuring Machines. This position is one of high impact on the quality control processes. It will have autonomy and will work along side most other departments within the company.
What you will get to do
- Carry out programming of CMM machines including coordinating of work flow throughout the process.
- Evaluate, develop, and complete inspection reports and assist in the development of remedial action plans to insure conformance to specifications and standards.
- Interface with various personnel regarding the use and setup of the CMM machines.
- Develop and assist others in the development of procedures and working instructions.
- Contribute to overall cost reduction/avoidance through participation in the internal corrective and preventive action system.
- Ensure compliance with all written standards
- Participate in Lean Continuous Improvement events
What you bring to the team
- Must have 2 years of CMM Programming Experience (PCDMS++ preferred)
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in quality within the Aerospace or Automotive Industry
- Associates Degree preferred, but not required
- Specialized training within the quality assurance discipline preferred
- Ability to make autonomous decisions when handling quality issues
- Direct customer/client service experience
- Training in AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management System
- Competent user of Quality Measurement tooling including CSM and SPC variance control
- Ability to read blueprints, manufacturing blueprints, and GD&T
