Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accredited Engineering field (preferably Mechanical)
  • Strong analytical skills & experience in designing the components to meet the machine system performance requirements and cost targets.
  • Experience in Project management, hands on Creo, Tolerance Stack-up, and GD&T
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and process partners.
Responsibilities
  • Design responsibility for hydraulic cylinder & suspension products; accountable for meeting customer expectations for product cost, quality, and delivery
  • Contribute to multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) cylinder development projects, New Technology Integration (NTI) projects, and product cost/quality improvement projects
  • Conduct Concept and Detailed Design Reviews with the Global Engineering teams
  • Collaborate with the Global/Regional purchasing and manufacturing facility teams to support the product quality & cost targets, supplier process audit, sourcing, PPAP/APQP process validation
  • Troubleshoot field failures, Warranty claims, factory issues
  • Responsible for detailed drawing release and maintenance, conduct continuous product and process development and manage the product Bill of material
  • Aligned objectives with product groups, suppliers, and manufacturing process partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum
  • Component design expertise on mining and construction equipment
  • Familiarity with cylinder component suppliers and manufacturing processes
  • Experience – 2+ years of hydraulics industry experience
  • The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions
  • A sense of urgency balanced with a strong commitment to quality
  • Due to collaboration with global product development teams, available for flexible work hours

IRVING, Texas, June 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) voted today to raise the quarterly dividend by 10 cents, a seven percent increase, to one dollar and fifty-one cents ($1.51) per share of common stock, payable Aug. 20 to shareholders of record at close of business July 21. Caterpillar expects to continue to return substantially all Machinery, Energy & Transportation (ME&T) free cash flow to shareholders over time through dividends and share repurchases."Continued delivery on our enterprise strategy for long-term profitable growth, combined with strong operating performance, has led to robust ME&T free cash flow," said Caterpillar CEO Joe Creed.
