Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or a similar degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of building construction systems, materials, building codes, and industry standards, including life safety codes, Facility Guidelines Institute guidelines, and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare occupancies.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, other industry software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong design and technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support and implement project design as directed by Project Leaders.
  • Ensure overall design quality aligns with firm standards and client expectations.
  • Develop and prepare project deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the firm's design standards.
  • Coordinate consultant deliverables and design integration across disciplines.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews for life safety, constructability, and quality compliance.
  • Verify that designs and documents meet applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and other jurisdictional requirements.
  • Conduct site analyses addressing geotechnical, environmental, social, and contextual factors.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure design intent is accurately implemented during construction.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including forms, correspondence, client communications, and project data.
  • Communicate design-related updates and decisions with clients and internal teams throughout all project phases.
  • Support project organization through filing, document control, and archiving.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional licensure in Architecture.
  • Healthcare market experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare permitting processes within Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
