Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading equipment / process changes from initial concept to mass production.
  • Create and manage safety, schedule, budget, and quality confirmation plan for multiple projects.
  • Specify, order, install new paint systems equipment.
  • Prepare detailed machine specifications.
  • Manage equipment build by outside suppliers.
  • Supervise and support equipment installation.
  • Create paint jig specifications/drawings for new component parts.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot paint processes/parameters for continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform time studies to balance manufacturing processes.
  • Lead / Participate in team-based projects for New Model Launches.
  • Lead meetings with outside groups (Plant Production, Maintenance, Design, Vendors, Technicians, Quality, etc.) to develop direction and countermeasures to achieve quality requirements.
  • Travel to vendors to lead design reviews, trials and equipment buy-off for responsible equipment.
  • Validate and characterize processes for production implementation.
  • Create detailed Manufacturing Instructions to document new processes.
  • Complete engineering documentation to support paint processes (PFMEA, Control Plans, Daily Checksheets, etc.)
