  • Missional and Organizational Leadership
  • Embody the mission, vision, and values of World Relief, setting an example for the office staff, volunteers, clients, churches and the community
  • Play an active leadership role on the Memphis Leadership Team responsible for the overall growth and development of the Memphis office
  • Support the development of a strategic plan and clear, achievable goals, assuring that department and program goals and directions are consistent with the overall direction of the Memphis office and World Relief

  • Program and Grants Management
  • Responsible for the overall leadership, development, implementation, and measurement of five service lines within the Integration Department: Initial Welcome Services, Holistic Support Services, Economic Empowerment Services, Refugee & Immigrant Youth Services, and Newcomer Outreach Services
  • In conjunction with the Associate Director, develop annual goals, projections, and performance standards for program grants, and review on a recurring basis
  • Provide resettlement forecasts to WR staff, community agencies, and grantors on an ongoing basis
  • Support service line managers in the development and maintenance of systems, policies, and procedures for each service area and program, within the framework of our local and national office systems and policies
  • In coordination with the Church & Community Engagement Department, oversee the interaction between the Integration Department staff and WRM volunteers engaging in services of the department
  • Approve and manage intake and assignment of all client cases across breadth of service areas within WRM
  • Manage and track grant spending, reviewing it on at least a monthly basis with the Finance Specialist
  • Together with staff, identify and address concerns and challenges consistently faced by clients
  • Meet with clients to reiterate policy as necessary
  • Program Evaluation and Reporting
  • Oversee and evaluate the completion of all grant-mandated services within the purview of the position
  • Complete and submit reports to grantors and WR leadership in a timely manner
  • Perform monthly quality control tasks to ensure accurate reporting \
  • Formally and informally solicit client feedback about service provision, including feedback from refugee community leaders on at least a quarterly basis
  • Participate in grant reporting and grant writing for renewal of grants and grant acquisition activities for new opportunities
  • Staff Supervision
  • Provide coaching and supervision of direct reports, focusing on leadership development and management skills
  • Create opportunities for ongoing training, coaching, development and evaluation of Integration Department staff and interns in accordance with grant requirements and World Relief's vision, mission, and policies
  • Lead service line managers in setting appropriate individual and team goals and objectives, aligned to WRM overall goals and objectives
  • Facilitate regular meetings with staff and with other program managers to ensure quality, team-based service provision
  • Work closely with the Connect Language Center Director and Church & Community Engagement Director to promote cohesion of services delivered to clients and volunteers
  • Internal Communication & Collaboration
  • Participate on the Memphis Leadership Team and collaborate with Executive Director, Associate Director, Connect Language Center Director, and Church & Community Engagement Director, and Finance & Operations Director on a regular basis to ensure strategic coordination of services
  • Lead case briefing meetings to monitor client progress, adjust case plans, and effectively address the needs of clients
  • Initiate collaboration with other staff to efficiently serve families and communicate about trends and needs within the refugee community
  • Develop or review client service systems and tools with other team managers
  • Participate in conference calls and regular communication with WR's Home Office
  • Actively support the integration of the Dynamics 365 customer relationship management software, Salesforce, and other tools into office workflows
  • External Communication
  • Communicate regularly with service providers to ensure timely service delivery
  • Advocate on behalf of refugee families when necessary
  • Ensure timely communication with volunteers and churches involved with refugee families, in coordination with Church & Community Engagement team
  • Attend state, headquarter, and coalition meetings to ensure programs are rendered affectively and efficiently to meet community needs and standards of funding partners
