Requirements
  • BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years working on the certification of aircraft structures and systems
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, guidelines, and advisory circulars pertaining to aircraft structures, interiors, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to lead and coordinate content creation and issue resolution involving diverse groups of technical experts
  • Familiarity with certification standards and requirements of other aviation authorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy in documentation and compliance
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Authoring detailed test plans and reports for compliance in structures, materials and processes, cabin systems, landing gear, and mechanical systems
  • Preparing and updating documentation for Air Vehicle engineering certification deliverables
  • Leading the resolution and response to regulatory issues
  • Supporting certification test plan development and test execution at on-site and off-site facilities
