Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in commercial credit underwriting, business development, and portfolio management for mid-sized developers and investors are required.
  • Five to seven years of related experience and training in commercial banking are required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and tactful interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to cross-sell banking products, including loans, deposits, and treasury management, is required.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to analyze financial statements and present an accurate credit package for formal approval is required.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance standards, market trends, and banking products is required.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business is required.
Responsibilities
  • Represent the bank in the business community and develop relationships with business owners, C-level executives, centers of influence, and prospective bank customers.
  • Build and maintain at least 15 targeted prospect profiles and execute a call plan to meet individual and team sales objectives.
  • Manage and service commercial relationships by interviewing applicants and obtaining pertinent financial data.
  • Evaluate financial information and determine whether credit is an acceptable risk.
  • Approve loans within assigned lending authority and company policies and procedures.
  • Recommend credits outside lending authority to the next level or present them to the Loan Committee in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor existing loans for conformity to terms and conditions.
  • Participate with and assist senior lending officers on larger, more complex credits.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor impact, and recommend actions to maintain competitive and profitable product lines.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of commercial loans, cash management, trade services, and deposit products to facilitate cross-selling and enhance the client experience.
  • Analyze financial statements and related information.

Enterprise Bank & Trust announced on Sep. 1 the promotion of Aaron Wiens to Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial & Industrial Banking for the Kansas City market. Wiens, who has more than two decades of experience in financial services, will lead a team of bankers and guide Enterprise's regional commercial and industrial lending strategy with other members of the local leadership team. The bank said Wiens has been an integral part of its Kansas City operations for over 15 years and has played a key role in the commercial and industrial banking team for the past decade. "Aaron has been an instrumental part of our Kansas City team for more than 15 years and a cornerstone of our C&I team for the past decade, earning a reputation for strong, successful relationships," said Adam Kilpatrick, Market President, Kansas City.
